Lovebirds from the 70's is a study of my family archive.

Hiding all traces of love or emotion, like a guarded secret we won't ever be allowed to see or hear. It was their moment to share and all I will ever know is this moment did exist in their lives, how they chose to live it is obviously, left unanswered. There's only so much a picture can tell after all these years.

I am curious to see what a picture conceals or reveals about families. These portraits helped me form my worldview about family and youth of my grandparents and parents. Their lives in their ‘prime’. A multi dimentionality of their existence, a time capsule.

Many of these worldview are now challenged, as times progresses and by the virture of age, I begin to see nuiance of everyone’s character. The images then becomes a milestone that one keeps circling back to, the only static evidence as meaning becomes dynamic. Constantly shifting around the image.
